Not all heroes wear capes, they are firefighters. They are all dresses in some sort of fire and smoke proof suit with a helmet. They use these suits and Jiangshan Ati-Fire Apparat tan-Nifs to keep themselves safe while they do the important things they need to do. 

SCBA or a Self-contained breathing apparatus is a type of equipment used by firefighters who work directly in fire and gas-laden situations, which allows them to still breathe. They are trained to be able to prevent fires, but also save people in precarious situations. Their job has a great deal of manual hard work and they must face big and dangerous challenger every day.
