Un galea protector para un pompier comprensiva de un caput constructed ex materia knitted aramid, inclusive a front opening pro expositione of the facies of the pompiers; an SCBA mask shaped to engage the facies of the pompier; a systema for attaching the SCBA mask ad the caput along the perimeter of the mask such that the front opening of the caput is positioned within the perimeter of the mask, assuring that at least the os of the pompier will be within the mask when worn; et a retainer attached to opposite latera of the mask and adapted to extend around the posticum of the pompier's caput such that the fascia holds the mask snugly against the facies of the pompier. Praeferenter, the systema attaches the mask ad the caput at a plurality of punctis along the perimeter of the mask, such that when the caput et face mask systema is donned by the pompier, there is no cutis exposed between the caput et the mask. Praeferenter, the retainer includes at least one elastic fascia.
